VR indicates that the recording was generated from a VHS source and may have low-average sound & video quality
SR indicates that the recording was generated directly from a digital source and has average-great sound & video quality, and supports at least dolby 2.0 surround sound 

DL Double Layer DVD (more often then not the newer dvd players handle double layer media just fine, however, some older players will choke - trade this type at your own risk).  Also, since double layer discs are larger in capacity (8.5 gigabytes) and much more expensive to buy any of the double layer selections will constitute as a two disc trade
